Lindsay Cordery-Bruce is the CEO of NewLink Wales. Following a number of years working for the National Probation Service, she came to specialize in addiction, recovery and substance misuse. As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist she has enjoyed a 18 year career in the substance misuse field, supporting people to achieve their recovery goals, providing advice to commissioning teams and Welsh Government, influencing policy makers and developing evidence.
Lindsay joined NewLink Wales in 2011 after relocating from the North East of England. She has altered the focus of the Charity from substance misuse to a wider wellbeing approach and NewLink is now an established industry leader in the provision of training and qualifications.
She was a co-author of the Recovery Framework for Wales, also known as SMTF: Recovery Oriented Integrated Systems of Care. Lindsay has published academically on the subject of culturally appropriate practice and the challenges of embracing diversity within the substance misuse sector. She is currently studying for her Professional Doctorate and is an honorary research fellow at Cardiff University.
