Rachael joined Cyfle Cymru in November last year and began working with her Peer mentor, Lisa, to build on her confidence.
At first, Rachael felt very nervous and found it difficult to join in with the Cyfle Cymru activities held at the Salvation Army in Rhyl.
As the weeks went by, Rachael’s confidence grew and she became able to join in with the group activities and provide her own input.
Rachael, 27, has also completed her first aid course with the British Red Cross and her food hygiene level 2 qualification.
This lead to her being able to run her own baking group at the Salvation Army and she hopes to get involved in more voluntary work in future.
“I have really grown with all the support that I have had from Cyfle Cymru” said Rachael.
Cyfle Cymru is delivered by members of the DACW Consortium.
Cyfle Cymru is part of the Welsh Government’s Out of Work Service, supported by the European Social Fund.
