Kelly from Wrexham has been working with peer mentor, George, for 3 months and has already seen an increase in her confidence around other people.
The activities and volunteering opportunities available to Kelly through Cyfle Cymru have allowed her to meet new people and make new friends.
Kelly, 26, also engages in one-to-one peer mentor support at Champion’s House which she said has taught her that “it’s not scary to talk about things”.
With her social life back, Kelly is now involved in different community activities and volunteers for a local charity.
“Being a part of a group of people that are so friendly and open has shown me that I can make new friends and be involved in different community activities.” said Kelly.
Cyfle Cymru is delivered by members of the DACW Consortium.
Cyfle Cymru is part of the Welsh Government’s Out of Work Service, supported by the European Social Fund.
