Melanie was referred to Cyfle Cymru by her work coach in 2017 and is now doing a job that she enjoys.
Melanie, 40, needed help to build up her confidence and gain the skills to look for work.
Since being on the Cyfle Cymru project Melanie has completed a computer course with Coleg Menai, attended a first aid course with the British Red Cross and completed a MEE course.
She has also attended volunteering days to help in her local community in Caernarfon.
These opportunities provided by Cyfle Cymru have helped Melanie to improve her confidence and start applying for jobs.
Melanie was successful in securing herself a job as a carer in Bryn Seiont Dementia Care Centre, Caernarfon.
“I now have a job that I enjoy and life is better!” said Melanie
“The project has given me a lot more confidence in myself thanks to the help of peer mentors Scott and Bev”.
Cyfle Cymru is delivered by members of the DACW Consortium.
Cyfle Cymru is part of the Welsh Government’s Out of Work Service, supported by the European Social Fund.
