Paul, 37, was unsuccessful in an interview to be a peer mentor, but later attended an accredited Peer Mentoring course through Cyfle Cymru. This enabled him to showcase his skills and gain a life-changing qualification.
After working alongside Cyfle Cymru to improve his interview technique, Paul has been appointed as a peer mentor in Carmarthenshire.
“I’m over the moon with this new appointment, it’s the start of exciting times ahead!” said Paul.
“Paul has been a shining example of how to be focused on a long-term goal and use the opportunities offered by Cyfle Cymru to get there,” said mentor.
Cyfle Cymru is delivered by members of the DACW Consortium.
Cyfle Cymru is part of the Welsh Government’s Out of Work Service, supported by the European Social Fund.
