Rachel: “peer mentors have all played a part in helping me to improve”

Rachel, 34, Bangor

“I was referred to Cyfle Cymru because I was struggling to get back in to work due to issues with my mental health. Since starting, Scott and the other peer mentors have given me the support that I have needed and have all played a part in helping me to improve.

“I have since worked as an event steward at Hardrock Hell and currently volunteer at Hafan Menai hospice.

“Cyfle Cymru also gave me the opportunity to complete various courses meaning I’m now qualified to facilitate Depression Buddies groups in future.

“I’d just like to say a huge thank you to Scott and his colleagues, as without you I would not have started to rebuild my confidence and realise my self-worth.”

Cyfle Cymru is delivered by members of the DACW Consortium.

Cyfle Cymru is part of the Welsh Government’s Out of Work Service, supported by the European Social Fund.
