Rosa from Bethesda has achieved her dreams of becoming a volunteer and a fundraiser with the help of Cyfle Cymru.
Rosa, 56, said “I wanted to volunteer at a local charity shop in line with my personal values and Cyfle Cymru supported me in securing a voluntary position at Cats Protection League.
Cyfle Cymru has helped me gain confidence, a sense of self-worth and a structure to my week that I desperately needed, through volunteering and becoming a member of a poetry group.
I currently volunteer with Guide Dogs for the Blind and my next goal is to train to become a Sighted Guide.
I am now on a new path and a new journey, discovering what’s within myself.”
Cyfle Cymru is delivered by members of the DACW Consortium.
Cyfle Cymru is part of the Welsh Government’s Out of Work Service, supported by the European Social Fund.
