Before engaging with Cyfle Cymru, Sarah from Flintshire felt isolated and found it hard to move forward in her recovery. WREXHAM VOLUNTEERS, with experience of substance misuse and poor mental health, are giving back to the community and helping others in need. Melanie was referred to Cyfle Cymru by her work coach in 2017 and is now doing a job that she enjoys. Melanie, 40, needed help to build up her confidence and gain the skills to look for work. Since being on the Cyfle Cymru project Melanie has completed a computer course with Coleg Menai, attended a first aid course with the British Red Cross and completed a MEE course. Residents benefit from new veg plot thanks to green-fingered volunteers
Residents at a Wrexham sheltered housing complex are enjoying a new fruit and vegetable garden thanks to the efforts of Cyfle Cymru volunteers. The group worked in scorching sunshine to dig and sow a new vegetable plot for residents of the Springfield Sheltered Housing Unit in Rhosddu. Cyfle Cymru volunteers maintain The Globe!
FLINTSHIRE RANGERS team up with Cyfle Cymru volunteers to help Buckley bloom. Twice a month, Cyfle Cymru and Kaleidoscope North Wales volunteers unite to complete garden and maintenance tasks at a former industrial site on Globe Way in Buckley. Participants have helped to create pedestrian footpaths leading to the pond, cleared weeded areas to sew wild flowers in their places, and levelled out grass [.....]
